YRCF is a registered not-for-profit charity and member of the Community Foundations of Canada, the national organization for more than 175 community foundations across the country.

MISSION

” To enhance the vibrancy of our diverse communities by building endowments, providing donor services, grant making and convening community action and awareness.”

We achieve this Mission by:

  • Building endowment funds from the gifts of donors.  Endowments are permanent funds that generate ongoing investment income.
  •  Providing flexible, comprehensive donor services by offering a wide range of giving opportunities and helping donors achieve their particular charitable goals.
  • Making Grants from the income generated by established endowments to qualified organizations to fund initiatives that address community priorities in areas such as arts and culture, health, social services, learning, recreation and the environment.
  •  Acting as a catalyst with partners to provide a forum to consider community priorities and action around emerging and existing community needs.
